Director of Capital Markets
Matt Stockham has been serving clients at Meridian since 2015. He brings experience in investment strategy and financial planning, with a background that includes roles in institutional trading and wealth management. Prior to joining Meridian, Matt worked as an institutional broker at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch and Lexington Investment Company. His experience includes individual stock research, portfolio management, and financial planning.Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Miami University and later completed his master’s degree in International Affairs from the University of Kentucky. His academic background provides him with a broad perspective on global markets and economic policy.
At Meridian, Matt works with clients on a range of financial strategies, drawing on his industry experience to assist with portfolio construction and wealth management. He continues to expand his knowledge in investment research and financial planning to stay informed on market trends and developments.
Raised in Lexington, Matt enjoys being involved in the local community. Outside of work, he spends much of his time with his wife, Piper, and their three children. He is also passionate about youth sports and enjoys coaching baseball, where he shares his appreciation for teamwork and discipline.

Wealth Management Advisor & Portfolio Analyst
Mason Stockham joined the Meridian after earning his M.S. in Finance from the University of Kentucky, where he specialized in studying financial markets, investment analysis, and risk management. During his graduate studies, he served as the student manager for the UK MSF Endowment Fund, assisting in investment research and portfolio analysis. Mason also holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Marketing, along with a minor in Philosophy, from the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business.
At Meridian, Mason supports the firm's investment strategies through research and analysis, working alongside advisors to assist in portfolio construction and trading. He is committed to ongoing professional development and continues to expand his knowledge in financial markets and investment strategies.
A Lexington local, Mason enjoys being involved in the community and spending time outdoors. In his free time, he can often be found on the golf course, experimenting with new barbecue recipes, or relaxing with his wife, Emma, and their Aussiedoodle, Miso.
